Indigenous businesses in N.B. get help on how to bid for government, industry contracts

Indigenous businesses in New Brunswick are getting help on how to bid for government and industry contracts.

The New Brunswick Aboriginal Business Accelerator (NBAA) is a newly launched program that provides Indigenous business owners with the resources, training and connections they need to succeed in the competitive business world.

The NBAA program will provide Indigenous entrepreneurs with education and training in the skills necessary to successfully bid for and win government and industry contracts. It will also provide access to mentors and coaches who can provide guidance on the bidding process and provide support throughout the project.

In addition to the resources and education provided by the program, NBAA also helps Indigenous businesses to find and connect with potential partners. The program will work with local governments and industry to identify opportunities for Indigenous businesses to bid on contracts.

The NBAA program is the result of a partnership between the Government of New Brunswick and the Assembly of First Nations. The program is funded by the federal government and is administered by the New Brunswick Aboriginal Economic Development Council.

To help Indigenous businesses succeed, the program offers a range of services, such as business planning and strategic planning, financial planning and management, market research, and marketing and communication. In addition to the services offered, the program also helps Indigenous businesses to access financing and other resources.

The program is aimed at increasing the participation of Indigenous businesses in the economy and helping them to create jobs and wealth in their communities. It will also help to create long-term economic independence and self-sufficiency for Indigenous communities.

The NBAA program is just one of the many initiatives being undertaken by the Government of New Brunswick to support Indigenous businesses. Other programs include the Indigenous Business Development Fund, which provides capital and mentorship to Indigenous entrepreneurs, and the Indigenous Business Investment Fund, which encourages business investment in Indigenous communities.
