Indycar: McLaren talks to Kyle Busch about Indy 500 entry !!!
This afternoon Brian Barnhart was introduced to McLaren. Barnhart previously worked for the Indycar organization and in recent years worked as a quarterback for Alexander Rossi at Andretti Autosport. Brown declined to provide a job description for Barnhart. The most interesting thing was the fact that there is a high level of communication between Zak Brown and Kyle Busch.

McLaren talks to Kyle Busch about Indy 500 participation
Zak Brown said that people are currently trying like crazy to bring as many people as possible to the third car. The same high-tech factory as in England is currently being built at McLaren. Although Brown didn’t say it himself, serious talk is going on about a fourth Indy 500 car. Kyle Busch is clearly in the picture and important talks seem to have already taken place behind the scenes!
Busch wants to compete in the Indy 500 but his current team principal Joe Gibbs has banned it for 15 years. Talks are also underway with Menards as a major sponsor for the project. Unlike Joe Gibbs, his future team boss Richard Childress did not put any obstacles in the way of Busch’s participation in the Indy 500.
Arrow McLaren SP founder Sam Schmidt, like the Busch family, is from Las Vegas. Kurt Busch finished sixth for the Andretti Autosport team in 2014 and was also the top starter that year. Kurt also participated in the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, which takes place on the same day. Kurt managed to race to the front but was forced to retire early. It will no doubt continue in the coming weeks.
