Cadillac hasn’t been very generous when it comes to showing off the Optiq. The brand confirmed the model’s spring arrival but two images are all we got. Now, we get to see the interior of the luxury car for the first time, and we have China to thank for that.

The Cadillac Optiq will hit the market later this year as a 2025 model. But the brand seems to want to keep it out of prying eyes. In November 2023, the automaker showed only two official images that revealed most of the front, side and rear design. The pictures were proof of the fact that it looks a lot like the Lyriq.

But there was no sign of Optiq’s internals at the time and we were left wondering. However, China is here now to save the day. In order to connect to the Chinese market, the model is shown on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). That’s where the first pictures of the dashboard ended up, and that’s where Autoblog saw them.

As we could have guessed, the interior is also similar to that of the Lyriq. Thus, we are dealing with a curved display, which combines the digital instrument cluster with a touch screen, which controls many of the car’s functions.

Mental bonds hold their ground and exist for climate control. There is a closed storage slot and two USB-C ports. Floating round dialing is also on board. The layout is similar to that of the Optiq, but with a reduced space, things play a more saturated layout.

The Optiq should offer the same stimulus as the Lyriq in a more complex variant and later, at a lower price. The entry-level Lyriq Tech starts at $58,590, while the Sport variant starts at $63,190.

The EV it measures 189.8 inches long, 75.3 inches wide, and 64.7 inches tall, sporting a 116.3-inch wheelbase. The Lyriq is 196.7 inches long, 77.8 inches wide, and 63.9 inches tall, with a 121.8-inch wheelbase.

If the Chevrolet Equinox, with which the Optiq shares the Ultium platform and many of its components, the crossover should arrive with a single-motor and two-motor configuration. The front-wheel drive version will be available with 200 or 240 horsepower, while the all-wheel drive will get more from two motors: 283 horsepower.

Documents submitted by Cadillac to receive negotiations from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology confirm this information. Earlier today, MIIT released the first images of the Denza Z9 GT.
