Both powerplants are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Mazda’s i-Activ AWD all-wheel drive system. The Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system, already introduced on the CX-60, offers the possibility to choose between four driving modes (including EV mode for PHEV).

The CX-80 platform features a front double wishbone and rear multi-link suspension to ensure high levels of ride comfort, stable posture and smooth body control. The rear-biased all-wheel drive system combines the stability and traction of AWD with the neutral characteristics of rear-wheel drive. The new Mazda CX-80 has an impressive 2,500 kg capacity.

The CX-80’s extensive suite of advanced i-Activsense driver assistance systems is aiming for a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Among the new safety features discussed on the CX-80 are Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) and the new Inattentive Driver Assistance (assistance for distracted drivers); Smart Brake Support (SBS) with a new front collision avoidance system and Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) with a new assistance system to avoid the traffic ahead.

Pre-sales of the new Mazda CX-80 will begin in May and the car will go on sale at all Mazda dealerships from autumn 2024 and price starting from Euro 61,235.
