Several manufacturers have stepped forward in recent days, aiming to expand their lineup. On the one hand, Lamborghini is preparing to present a plug-in hybrid version of its Urus, while Land Rover is currently testing its 100% electric Range Rover. More interestingly, Alpine is still working on a more powerful version of its A110.

Even though we knew it was going to happen eventually, we can’t help but feel a pang in our hearts when we learn that electricity is coming under the hood of the future Lamborghini Urus. Thus, Sant’Agata’s SUV will receive a plug-in hybrid engine for its second generation, a price to pay for durability. Further north, in England, Land Rover is fully electrifying its flagship model, the Range Rover, whose 100% electric version is currently being tested in the Arctic Circle. Finally, Alpine is currently finalizing the development of an incredible new version of its most powerful A110, which some are already calling the A110 RS.

Lamborghini Urus: the cow gets a juice boost

Stylistic changes should be minimal. Mechanical development is already great

Unfortunately, this is something you will have to get used to. Lamborghini is getting ready to release a second generation of its Urus, but this super SUV won’t be coming back without getting used to it. With anti-pollution standards in force and the horizon of 2035 looming, new models must be electrified, at least partially. In Lamborghini, two cars are due to be replaced soon: the Huracan and the Urus. The first replacement appeared under a thick disguise, while the second one returns to the same form, at least in appearance. Being under the hood, the V8 will get electric assistance! Yes, the Lamborghini Urus will be a plug-in hybrid. At the moment, no technical sheet has been presented, but we are talking about a power of more than 700 horses. It will be revealed on April 24.

With or without noise, the Range Rover should deliver the same riot of luxury and comfort

Then again, it was only a matter of weeks before Land Rover decided to convert its classic Range Rover to a battery-powered version. This futuristic 100% electric version is currently in the testing phase in the Arctic Circle. It is not surprising, the model does not change, we only see the appearance of the charging port in place of the fuel hatch. Currently, no official presentation date has been announced, but we can expect a reveal next year.

We can look forward to warm weather as evidenced by this delightfully raised little wheel!

At Alpine, we know that unfortunately we will not be entitled to any new hot products. The future is officially under the symbol of electricity, which does not mean that the brand completely abandons the combustion engine. The A110 is still on the list, with a full range (GT, S, R). But Alpine is currently working on a more powerful version than the already impressive A110 R! This is currently in the testing phase at the circuit, and features a display body kit with a front blade, side fins, a striking spoiler, a full and opaque rear window and large rims. Alpine is talking about an official presentation on June 13, ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
