Everrati is converting the Land Rover Series IIA to electric. Blasphemy?

Everrati has revealed the first images of its new creation, the Land Rover Defender Series IIA. The old all-terrain vehicle has a major feature, as it has replaced its combustion engine with an electric unit and battery. Has the England coach done something irreparable?

But today, the English tuner has just launched the Land Rover Series IIA modifiedintended for the US customer.

It’s hard to choose between the sound of the engine and the sounds of nature

Seen from the outside, there is nothing to say that this Land Rover no longer drinks a single drop of diesel, except for a sensible intake instead of a tank. The 4×4 has exactly the same features as in its original version. Its interior, on the other hand, has changed significantly as the engine has given way to two electric units, mounted on each axle. They offer 150 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque and can travel up to 240 kilometers, according to Everrati. This Land Rover can also switch between all-wheel drive and two-wheel drive.

Everrati tested it for several weeks in the United States, in Vermont, an area that is very cold in winter. The aim was to prove the behavior and endurance of batteries and motors under extreme conditions. Obviously, the off-road capabilities of the 4×4 have not been greatly affected by the changes. The future owner will therefore be able to venture away from the road and enjoy the sounds of mother nature. In addition to this Land Rover, the producer also had the opportunity to do other works profitsuch as the Porsche 964, Ford GT40 or even the Mercedes SL Pagode.
