The Ford Mustang has just entered a new generation, sold here in its V8 version only from €59,300 (to which we must unfortunately add €60,000 of the French ecological penalty). In addition to the 800 horsepower GTD that we can soon find in Europe, with its chassis worthy of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS but with 800 horsepower under the hood, this new Mustang will be available here in a special series ” California Special. .” Based on the GT version with side stripes and matching painted rims, it will be available to order on April 30 and celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of America’s iconic sports car.

And Big Snake and Shelby American

In the United States, this new Mustang finally has the rights to its Super Snake version signed by Shelby American, a separate company from the Shelby division that builds official Mustangs for the oval brand. With 830 horsepower under the hood via a 5.0-liter V8 with a Whipple supercharger, this Super Snake is already more powerful than the Mustang GTD. Its chassis set-up will certainly not go far from the last one, even if it still has bigger brakes, lighter body panels, a new suspension and a bigger exhaust. Available with manual and automatic transmissions, this Super Snake can also make 480 horsepower in a version without a supercharger.

But that’s not all: during the meeting held in Charlotte a few days ago, Ford showed a photo of the future version of the Mustang hidden under a green canvas. It seems to be equipped with a rear spoiler, which indicates that it is a sharp difference. Let’s bet on the new GT350 or GT500, less extreme than the GTD but more efficient than the “regular” Mustangs. Unfortunately, the old GT500 wasn’t sold here, which makes us fear that this variant won’t be sold either.
