JDC-Miller MotorSports is primed to make its debut at the renowned Laguna Seca circuit with a Porsche 963, the team has confirmed.

The Minnesota-based squad, which has competed in a variety of sportscar series’, will contest the two-hour and 45-minute race with a 1990 Porsche 963 piloted by Misha Goikhberg and Stephen Simpson.

The iconic Porsche 963, which is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six engine, has been actively campaigned in North America and Europe by privateers over the years.

JDC-Miller MotorSports is no stranger to success, having won the IMSA Prototype Challenge championship in 2018 with Goikhberg and Simpson at the wheel.

The team’s Porsche 963 will be the only car in the race to utilize the flat-six engine and it is expected to be a formidable challenger for the podium.

The Porsche 963 has a strong racing pedigree, having competed in the World Sportscar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

JDC-Miller MotorSports is optimistic that its driver duo will be able to put the vintage Porsche on the podium at Laguna Seca.

Goikhberg and Simpson have made an impressive start to the season, finishing third in the opening IMSA Prototype Challenge race at Daytona International Speedway.
