Jeep launches 600 hp electric Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer type ‘S’

Jeep goes to the future. Our ears already got wind of the Wagoneer S around 2022 when they announced four electric Jeep models. The first in this series was the Avenger, a Jeep Compact that we already know well here in Europe. However, Avenger is not well known to the rest of the world, as it is not available in America, for example. The Wagoneer S will be a first there as the first electric Jeep.

Although this SUV is smaller than the regular Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, this is a model that is specifically designed to win over the international audience.

With this box you still get home faster than your competitors in terms of size. Let go of that powerful engine full of desire to prove what it has inside. Urgent to confirm? Yes, we think you can call it that. This Jeep has 600 hp and accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. For seven seats, that’s unusual. The iconic model could join the ranks of EVs and is undergoing an irreversible transition to non-petrol fuel. So Americans are changing schedules well. And one to say funny the brand officially announces the arrival of this all-round electronic device.

However much we love the Gladiator Pick-Up, unfortunately it’s time to make way for a new favorite. Apart from the sick performance we talked about earlier, it is also a real show in terms of looks. For example, the split front shows that the hood on the ‘S’ does not connect directly to the grille, unlike conventional models. The grille itself is also attractive, on the electric Wagoneer the grille is closed, but the seven vertical elements are more attractive than on the ‘standard’ Jeep thanks to the light.

Commercially

The Wagoneer S’s distinctive and more robust shape underscores that Jeep sees its market growing outside of North America. Whether Europe is included has yet to be officially confirmed, but Jeep Netherlands is already sharing this photo and some first details. Jeep talks about power up to 600 hp and an impressive 0-100 time of 3.5 seconds. Additionally, unlike the Avenger, the Wagoneer promises to stay true to Jeep’s true performance on basically all terrains. So, a complete shudder in the mud, whether it’s electric or not.
