No more rear window

Now that you can only use it on your screen, a number of design features really stand out. The sleek design of the Polestar 4 has its origins in the Polestar Precept concept car. One of the special features is that the Polestar 4 is designed without a traditional rear window, creating a better travel experience for rear seat passengers. From now on you look behind you and the camera.

Additionally, the dual-blade headlight division is immediately noticeable on the SUV coupe. You get the incredible feeling of the future that only Polestar can give you. Add to that the fact that the logo is illuminated from below, and you can understand why it is called a design-based brand. In terms of aerodynamics, it reaches its maximum thanks to its low nose, retractable door handles, frameless windows and ‘knives’ the back side.

Next level Interiors

The interior of Polestar 4 has taken a positive direction, says Maximilian Missoni, Head of Design at Polestar. Not only because of the aforementioned deficiency of the rear window, which means that the standard glass roof extends beyond the heads of the rear occupants, but there is more. The interior mirror has created a high-quality screen that displays real-time images. This not only improves passenger space, but also improves road visibility. It is still possible to monitor children in the back seat, as the screen can also function as a mirror.

Polestar’s focus was more on the back seat however. It now has electrically adjustable handrails and adjustable multi-mode lighting, powered by a solar system. The interior and the materials used are connected to the theme of ‘soft technology’, inspired by the world of fashion and sportswear. It also has a brand new interior color called Mist.

For the interior, Polestar has used a mono-material approach. This is an innovative method first introduced in the electric road concept in 2022. This method means that all layers of special parts are made from the same basic material. This not only increases efficiency, but also enables a more efficient recycling process. The fabric is made from recycled polyester in collaboration with suppliers and the Swedish Textile School (Borås Textilhögskolan). Sustainability for quality again.

Advanced technology

Cooperation with Google is still ongoing. Software updates happen automatically, so Polestar avoids trips to the garage. This makes all the necessary apps available for a seamless driving experience on the road. For a better audio experience, there is a special upgrade available: a Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers and a 1,400-watt mixed-channel amplifier.
