Assembly car construction

The rally beast was built by Subaru USA’s technical partner, Vermont SportsCar. The company designed, built and tested the special WRX in eighteen months. The car was completely stripped and given a carbon fiber widebody. The large rear wing is also made of carbon. The new fuel tank is made of Kevlar. According to the rally class rules, the car must weigh 1,315 kg. Subaru will try to be as close to that as possible. The car also has 15-inch rally wheels.

Specs for the Subaru WRX rally car

Up front is an engine designed specifically for the WRX rally car. It is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine with a turbo. Turbo pressure is limited to 1.51 bar by rally rules. The boxer engine produces 324 hp and 515 Nm. Power goes through six speeds close ratio gearbox for all four wheels.
