Josh Moffett sets the pace in West Cork Rally

Josh Moffett set a scorching tempo at West Cork Rally, securing the top spot for himself and co-driver John Rowan. The Irish rally driver, who is the reigning Triton Showers National Rally Champion, and his navigator delivered a masterful performance, utilizing difficult and technical driving conditions to their advantage.

Moffett and Rowan, who drove the Ford Fiesta WRC, began the rally with a blistering run on stage one, setting the fastest time of the day. Though their pace was briefly hindered by a turbo issue on stage two, the duo quickly recovered and continued to set the pace for the remainder of the rally. Moffett’s stunning drive on stage three allowed him to gain the lead, and he never relinquished it.

The following two stages saw Moffett and Rowan in a battle with fellow Ford Fiesta WRC drivers, Alan Ring and Adrien Winkleman. The competition was fierce, but Moffett and Rowan maintained their superiority, setting another fastest time on stage five. In the end, Moffett’s proficiency triumphed, and he finished the rally with a lead of 12.2 seconds.

The rally was no easy feat for Moffett and Rowan, as the challenging and technical terrain of West Cork tested their skill and composure. Moffett, however, was up to the challenge, displaying remarkable finesse and superior driving prowess. His impressive performance has secured him his third victory on the West Cork Rally, and solidified his standing as one of the top rally drivers in the sport.
