arrives on the list from 14,990 euros

Citroën has just opened the order books for its new C3. The city car, whose electric version was launched a few months ago, is now available in a heated version. Two trim levels are offered, the entry level set at 14,990 euros. So Citroën offers a credible alternative, located between the Renault Clio and the Dacia Sandero.

We take the same and start again. A few months after officially launching the ë-C3, Citroën is now adding a hot C3 to the catalog. The brand has very little room for maneuver, as this style is very important. As a reminder, C3 has sold more than 1.5 million copies since 2016. Remaking it was necessary to maintain good sales levels, but we had to target it accordingly.

Aesthetically, this new Citroen C3 takes the design of its electric counterpart. There are no surprises in terms of appearance, we are dealing with a raised city car, bordering on a small crossover, with smooth lines. The subtlety of the brand is clearly visible, like the two-level optics on the front. Inside, the car has the same layout as the ë-C3.

The Max finish stands out mainly due to the large 10.25-inch screen

The most simplified range possible

Simplification being the key word for Citroën, the range of this new C3 is designed around just two trim levels: You and Max. If the first is satisfied with the climate of the manual and the owner of the smartphone, like its competitor Dacia Sandero, it still includes automatic LED headlights, cruise control with cruise control and rear parking assist. This starts at 14,990 euros.

The Max edition adds to this list a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, an induction smartphone charger, automatic air conditioning, electric rear windows, a reversing camera and 17-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, finishing this significantly increases the bill, as we arrive at 19,200 euros.

IT’S FINISHING PRICE MALUSI
C3 You 1.2 PureTech 100 ch From 14,990 euros 230 euros
C3 Max 1.2 PureTech 100 ch From 19,200 euros 240 euros

At launch, the new Citroen C3 is only available with a 100 horsepower 1.2 PureTech unit, mated to a manual gearbox. On the smaller side, this engine causes the use of an ecological penalty of 230 or 240 euros depending on the finish chosen. The chevron brand notes that a hybrid version will be added to the range later in the year. In any case, this new C3 can put the sound on the wheels of Dacia Sandero, even if it is still more expensive.
