2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV: finally details on price and availability

Chevrolet has finally given us details on pricing and availability for the Canadian market of its new electric crossover. Equinox EV 2024a car whose sale has been delayed and which many are eagerly waiting for.

Note that it is built in the Ramos Arizpe Mexican factory, next to Chevrolet Blazer EVwithout forgetting Honda Prelude and Acura ZDX also manufactured by GM.

First, let’s say that starting February 22, it will be possible to order a copy of the Equinox EV from a Chevrolet dealer, in the following versions, all with front-wheel drive:

2LT FWD starting at $48,199
2RS TA starting at $49,999
3LT FWD starting at $50,899
3RS TA starting at $52,399

Note that these prices do not include various travel, preparation, vendor and other expenses of at least $3,299, nor the federal and provincial grants representing $12,000 (taxes included). Chevrolet assures us that deliveries will begin in the spring, more precisely May or June.

Unlike the Blazer EV, there will be an entry-level 1LT front-wheel-drive version of the Equinox EV, but this won’t be available to order until later this year and Canadian pricing has yet to be announced.

Let’s go back to the front-wheel drive version of the 2LT, because in addition to its affordable price, it offers the best range, namely 513 km according to Natural Resources Canada, surpassing a large number of competitors. As for the all-wheel-drive Equinox EVs, orders will start later in 2024 and prices are still to come, but expect a range of 459 km, again according to Natural Resources Canada.

By the way, the manufacturer estimates that the battery can recover about 112 kilometers of distance in 10 minutes when connected to a 150 kW fast charging station.
