promises to be an affordable electric SUV

The Pear is the most affordable model in the Fisker range, an automaker that always approaches things differently. Now the target price for Europe has finally been announced, and it’s quite competitive.

The Fisker Pear initially attracted attention with its special tail: it disappears completely into the body when you open it, so that only a large opening remains. The compact SUV is under the magic $30,000 threshold in the US, and now the target price for Europe is finally known. It’s still more than 30,000, but not much: the car should cost around 33,000 euros in Europe, CEO Henrik Fisker says. Motor vehicle.

At that price, the Pear becomes cheaper than competitors such as the Volvo EX30 (from under 37,000 euros), the BYD Atto 3 (around 39,000 euros) and the Volvo XC40 Recharge (around 46,000 euros). But the range is there: according to Fisker, the WLPT range of the entry-level version is 320 km, while for the EX30 it is 344 km, for the BYD 420 km and for the XX40 even 475 km.

Bigger is more expensive

With a length of 4.55 meters, the Fisker Pear is quite large for a small SUV. So the car offers an interesting compromise: lots of space and little range at a competitive price. For more money, there is also a version with a bigger battery and a range of 560 km, but you will quickly pay 10,000 euros more for that.

The Fisker Pear, complete with three-seat front bench, disappearing tailgate and front drawer, is still in production. The first models are expected on the road later this year, and the first customers will not receive their Peari until the end of 2025. And by then there will be many more electric cars on the market for around 30,000 euros.
