For 2021, Kia is giving the Seltos a wealth of new features such as automatic climate control, remote start and a 10.3-inch infotainment system that is only available in the base LX version. In addition, the Seltos Night Edition, which debuted in 2022, will continue until 2023 with darkened exterior trim and black 18-inch alloy wheels.
Kia Seltos 2023: what’s new?
Kia Seltos is a new compact crossover that was launched in 2021. But for 2023, all Seltos models now have acoustic glass as a standard to reduce wind noise at high speeds. All-wheel drive and all-wheel drive S trims get more safety features like blind spot collision avoidance and rear cross traffic collision avoidance along with standard driving aids like Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and automatic mounting. beam
The Seltos faces stiff competition from the all-new Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-30 and VW Taos. Mazda offers a more luxurious interior, while the new HR-V is now the largest in its class thanks to its Civic-derived underbody. However, the Selto’s aggressive styling, high-quality equipment and 7.2 cm of ground clearance are undeniably impressive.
Powertrain & Fuel Consumption
Depending on the trim level, there are two gasoline engines for the Kia Seltos 2023. The basic Seltos LX, S and EX models are powered by a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 146 hp and 132 lb-ft. with torque. The LX has all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard, while the S has front-wheel drive (FWD) and optional AWD. The EX comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Regardless of the powertrain, the 2.0-liter engine is only available with a CVT transmission. The Seltos FWD with the 2.0-liter engine achieves an EPA rating of 29/35 in city and highway traffic, while AWD variants score 27 in the city and 31 on the highway.
The Seltos Nightfall and SX, on the other hand, have a turbocharged 1.6-liter injection engine that produces 175 hp and 195 lb-ft. produces torque. The turbocharged engine is only available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
