Volvo XC60Best-selling Plug-in Hybrid SUV in Europe in February

Volvo Cars announces that it sold 50,315 vehicles last February, after reaching its record share of electric models.
Combined sales of plug-in hybrids and 100% electric vehicles represented 44% of the brand’s sales. This is due to the increase in the new electric EX30. The brand also set its new sales record of 100% electric which represented 22% of sales worldwide during the month.
Sales in Europe continued to be strong and increased by 26% compared to February 2023, reaching 26,773 vehicles. Sales of electric vehicles (full electric and plug-in hybrids) increased by 18%, while sales of electric vehicles increased by 31% compared to February last year.
The Volvo XC60 remained the best-selling model with 16,026 units (compared to 16,103 in 2023), followed by : 7,120 units).
The XC60 was also the best-selling model in Europe in the Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) category with 4,341 units sold, up 38% compared to February 2023.
Volvo is known in Tunisia for being the first and only car brand to offer its entire range in a hybrid. A mild hybrid is spread across the range, with a plug-in hybrid offered on all SUVs.
The compact hybrid Volvo XC60 develops 250 hp with a torque of 365 nm and an average consumption of 7.5 L/100km. In its Plug-in Hybrid version, the Volvo XC60 Recharge develops 462 hp with a torque of 659 nm and an average consumption of 1 L/100km.
