Kia Motors India’s highly anticipated Seltos, Sonet, and Carens models have finally revealed their respective waiting periods in the country, as per reports.
The South Korean carmaker, which entered the Indian automotive market in August 2019, has seen a surge in demand for its vehicles, particularly the Seltos and Sonet SUV models.
Industry experts report that the Seltos, Sonet, and Carens models are currently facing a wait period of up to 10-12 weeks, with the Seltos being the most sought after. The Sonet and Carens, meanwhile, are facing a 6-7 week wait period.
The Seltos, which is priced between ₹9.89 lakh and ₹17.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), has been one of Kia’s most successful models in India. It has been a top-seller in the mid-size SUV segment, with the Sonet and Carens following close behind.
The Sonet, which is priced between ₹6.71 lakh and ₹12.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), has seen a steady increase in demand since its launch in September 2020. The Carens, which was launched in December 2020, is priced between ₹10.40 lakh and ₹16.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Kia Motors India has attributed the high demand for its vehicles to its attractive pricing, advanced features, and reliable performance. The company has also been aggressive with its marketing and advertising campaigns, which are believed to have played a key role in driving up demand.
Kia Motors India has yet to comment on the reported waiting periods, but industry experts believe that the company will soon take steps to address the issue.
Thus, Kia Motors India’s latest Seltos, Sonet, and Carens models have reportedly revealed their respective waiting periods in the country, with the Seltos being the most sought-after model, due to its attractive pricing, advanced features, and reliable performance. The Sonet and Carens, meanwhile, are facing a 6-7 week wait period. It remains to be seen, however, if Kia Motors India will take any steps to address the issue.
