The 2023 Seltos will now be available in a total of nine trims, with four petrol and five diesel engine options. The petrol engine range will consist of the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) and the 1.5-litre turbocharged (TC) petrol mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel engine range will include the 1.5-litre NA, 1.5-litre TC, and two 1.6-litre TC options mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The top-of-the-line GTX+ trim will now be powered exclusively by the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which has been discontinued in the other trims. As a result, the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine will now be the most powerful engine option in the range, with a maximum power output of 115bhp and 144Nm of torque.
The pricing of the 2023 Seltos has seen an increase of Rs 50,000 across the range. The base HTE trim is now priced at Rs 9.95 lakh, while the top-end GTX+ trim is priced at Rs 17.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Kia has also revised the list of features offered in the 2023 Seltos. The HTE trim now gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the HTK+ and GTX+ trims come with an 8.0-inch unit.
In conclusion, the 2023 Kia Seltos has received an updated range of trims, engines, and features, with prices hiked by Rs 50,000. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine has been discontinued, leaving the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine as the most powerful option in the lineup.
