Kia Telluride 2023: Price, Specs, Specifications

The redesigned Kia Telluride made its grand debut at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. We suspect the Telluride’s looming 2023 arrival is why Kia hasn’t significantly revised the tried-and-true model cues of the previous model.

The American-made Kia Telluride remains an excellent family SUV, offering comfort, space, ample off-road capability and a quality interior for less money than a comparable German, Japanese or American offering.

Kia Telluride 2023: what’s new?

The previous 2023 Telluride received several updated standard appointments such as automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, new Kia logo and TELLURIDE rear badging.

As expected, the 2023 Telluride goes even further with new vertically aligned LED headlights, redesigned front and rear bumpers, a “tiger nose” front grille, revised taillights, new wheel designs and new paint colors ( Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red and Jungle Wood Green).

Inside, the 2023 Kia Telluride features a redesigned dashboard with new trim and air vents. There are also two 12.3-inch screens, a four-spoke steering wheel and revised interior color combinations. The new Telluride remains a family SUV at heart, offering plenty of room for up to eight passengers and 21 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row.

New Telluride X-Line and X-Pro

Despite its outward appearance, the Kia Telluride was never about off-road driving. So we found it surprising why Kia offered two trim levels for the 2023 Telluride called X-Line and X-Pro. Kia claims that the new X-Line and X-Pro are “intended for Kia owners who want to go out on a regular basis”, with standard all-wheel drive and off-road legal equipment. The X-Line also replaces the 2023 Telluride Night Edition.

The 2023 Kia Telluride X-Line features unique 20-inch wheels, body-colored door handles, bridge-style roof rails, X-Line badges and a stacked grille. Inside, the X-Line features new color packages and X-Line badges on the front seats. Other features include a 10 mm increase in ground clearance, a new towing mode and re-tuned traction control that better handles slippery or slippery terrain.

The Telluride X-Pro, on the other hand, has unique 18-inch wheels with Continental off-road tires, X-Pro badges, a 110-volt inverter in the cargo area and seats with X-Pro embossing. All trim levels feature Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, five USB charging ports, and a 10-inch head-up display (HUD), to name just a few. The X-Line and X-Pro can tow up to 5,500 pounds, 500 more than before.

Kia Telluride 2023: Engine & Drivetrain

We find it surprising that Kia has resisted a hybrid or electric transmission for its best-selling Telluride, but we understand that tinkering with a proven formula isn’t easy. The 2023 Telluride stays true to its 3.8-liter V6 gasoline engine that produces 291 hp and 262 lb-ft. produces torque. The engine is mated to a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic that drives either the front wheels or all four wheels.

The Telluride’s four-wheel independent suspension keeps the sun side up in corners, while the available self-leveling rear suspension automatically adjusts ride height based on vehicle load. In addition, the Telluride has an active, on-demand all-wheel drive system with an electro-hydraulic clutch that continuously distributes engine torque to the front and rear wheels for better traction.

Advanced security technology

Kia Telluride 2023 comes with many advanced driving aids. It now has Intelligent Speed Limit Assist along with other standard safety features such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Traffic Control, Collision Avoidance and Blind Spot Monitoring.

Most useful is Kia’s Forward Collision Avoidance – Junction Turning safety feature. Detects oncoming vehicles when turning left at an intersection (intersection). If a collision is likely, the system will slow the Telluride down.

Kia Telluride 2023 Warranty

New Kia vehicles come with the best warranties in the business, and so does the Telluride. All Tellurides leave the factory with a five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

If you’re worried about long-term maintenance costs, an extended warranty can give you extra peace of mind. This handy guide will give you insight into Kia extended warranties and whether they’re right for you.

Kia Telluride 2023: Price and Availability

Kia hasn’t revealed pricing or an exact release date for the 2023 Telluride, but we expect the first units to hit dealerships in the summer of 2022. Kia promises to reveal base prices just before the planned launch date, but we think the MSRP could start at €33,000 for the base. of the Telluride LX and €47,000 for the SX spec.
