Manhart lets loose on the BMW M2

A few weeks ago, Manhart unveiled a modified version of the latest BMW M2. This MH2 560 was equipped with a carbon fiber body, new exhaust and lower suspension while its 3-liter 6-cylinder biturbo benefited from 100 hp and 100 Nm, or 560 hp with 650 Nm.

But Manhart warned that this was just the beginning. The baby BMW M returns today in the form of the MH2 GTR II. This time, we are talking about no less than 715 hp and 850 Nm thanks to the redesign, the carbon intake and the released exhaust.

Manhart does not mention 0 to 100 km/h – perhaps because this simple movement may not be able to use this extra power in the first few meters – but it shows an amazing recovery from 100 to 200 km / h in 5 .76 seconds. . Goodbye An RS3 sniffing your bumper in the left lane of the Autobahn!

For this example of the MH2 GTR II, which itself will be a limited series, Manhart has chosen the intense magenta of the original Porsche Ruby Red, decorated with a touch of champagne on the grille, sides, sills, retro hulls and trunk lid, not to mention the beautiful inch rims 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the back.

We find this golden color on the board on the roll bar that replaced the back seat. Up front, the carbon buckets are now equipped with Schroth couplings, which can be very useful when you have to try to put 715 hp down. Manhart says the brakes didn’t need to be beefed up, but they felt compelled to grease their calipers to match the body.

Already more than 700 hp at the start of its career for this BMW M2 G87, we dare not imagine the performance of the future CS or CSL versions when they pass through the Manhart workshops…
