What if he would be the best rival to the Volkswagen Tiguan?

Silently, the Hyundai Tucson follows its roadmap to the letter and has posted excellent sales figures since the arrival of the third and latest generation. With its standard equipment from the entry level and its competitive prices, the Korean SUV is giving European models a hard time, especially the Volkswagen Tiguan. The icing on the cake is that the restyled version should soon arrive, and the price is certainly still low.

When we talk about the competition in the SUV segment, we immediately think about the behemoths in the category, especially the Peugeot 3008, Volkswagen Tiguan and Renault Austral. We tend, wrongly, to reject Asian examples too little. However, as we have seen, the Kia Sportage has a strong case to make and has managed to carve out a good share of the pie in recent times. The same goes for the Hyundai Tucson.

While currently in his third generation, the Korean is in Olympic form. Hyundai has sold more than 3,700 copies of its SUV since the beginning of the year, almost 500 more than the Tiguan. Of course, that is still far from our two Frenchmen, but the performance is still worth highlighting. Especially since the restyled version, which should arrive during the first half of 2024, should allow to keep this good speed.

You don’t even need options!

We still don’t know the standard equipment of this modified version but, if it takes over from the previous version, we have to rely on Dantic level of equipment! Alloy wheels, LED headlights, digital instruments, a central screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as dual-zone automatic climate control, all features included in the standard list and could be!

Driver assistance is extensive, including parking assist, a reversing camera, cruise control and limiter functions, lane keeping and automatic emergency braking and a pedestrian detection system. Under the hood, we should find only electric motors. A little different type than other competitors but, after all, why hard life? It remains to be hoped that Hyundai will continue to offer it at an affordable price.
