Iron Lynx in pole position for the first time with Lamborghini / GT World Challenge

Iron Lynx will race in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup for the first time with a Lamborghini. Sixth starting position for Valentino Rossi in the WRT BMW M4 GT3

As usual, qualifying for the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup took place in three stages. Each driver completed a segment and an average time was calculated from the lap times completed, which determines the starting grid.

In the first part, Mateo Llarena in a Lamborghini from the Grasser Racing Team started the red phase after seven minutes. In the Austrian team’s Hurácan, he spun in the final corner after making contact with Matt Bell’s Kessel Racing Ferrari, which failed to stop.

Dries Vanthoor set the fastest time in the first segment on the WRT BMW M4 GT3. The Belgian finished the course in 1:53.304 minutes.

In the second part, the best time goes to Fabian Schiller’s GetSpeed Mercedes. The #2 car, with a German at the wheel, completed the course in 1:52.752 minutes.

Lamborghini ace Mirko Bortolotti drove the fastest time in the third segment. In the Iron Lynx car he completed the course in 1:52.775 minutes.

The fastest time helps Lamborghini achieve its first place in the Endurance Cup since Nürburgring 2021. With an average of 1:53.027 minutes, Andrea Caldarelli, Matteo Cairoli and Mirko Bortolotti will start the race from the best starting position.

The Schumacher CLRT Porsche of Ayhancan Güven, Laurin Heinrich and Dorian Boccolacci follows in second place. On average, the 911 GT3 R was 0.187 seconds behind the green Lamborghini.

Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Jules Gounon complete the top 3 positions.

Nine-time world motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi will start the race with his partners Maxime Martin and Raffaele Marciello from sixth on the grid – making the #46 car the best-placed WRT BMW M4 GT3 on the grid to begin with.
