Lando Norris (McLaren), second in Chinese medicine: “I’m surprised but I’m very happy for the team. We made good reserves. I didn’t expect a race like this, but I was comfortable managing the tires well. It was a bit easier than yesterday. (SATURDAY) and I was able to attack. It’s a good day, good points and another podium for me, so I’m satisfied.

I was surprised by many things: Ferrari’s lack of speed, our good speed especially compared to Red Bull, which was even more surprising. I was hoping to go home early and not be on stage. We all worked hard as a team and it paid off. I made a bet to see how far we would finish behind the Ferrari. I thought we would be 35 seconds apart and I was completely wrong. But I’m glad I lost my bet. »

Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Chinese GP winner: “I feel good. We were very fast all weekend, and it’s fun to drive a car like that on different types of rubber. We survived a different restart and the car was like it was on rails. I could do anything I wanted with it. These are great weekends to enjoy and what we accomplished on this one is amazing.

At the end of the race, you hear a noise and this has happened to me in the past with tire problems at the end of the race. There was dirt on the sides, and I went 300 km / h with cold tires, so it is very easy to get a flat. I wanted to be careful and make sure everything was right. »

Sergio Perez (Red Bull), 3rd in the Chinese GP: “Unfortunately we lost two places with the safety car and I had to do a lot of racing on hard tyres. We tried to fight but the tires fell off. We managed to get to the podium but it could have been twice.

I lost speed especially on the middle tires and struggled with the balance of the car which changed between yesterday (SATURDAY) and today (Sunday). We didn’t manage the conditions as well as we could have. Overall, a solid weekend but we have to understand why my race pace was low. »
