De Vries takes the first win of 2024 in the WEC with Toyota during the six hours of Imola

Nyck de Vries, who this year is also active in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) as well as Formula E, won the 6 hours of Imola with Toyota on Sunday. This is his first win this season.

The Dutchman saw his F1 event, an event he has worked hard for in recent years, in 2023 after a few races at AlphaTauri. The Dutchman was disappointed to be replaced by Daniel Ricciardo before the summer break. De Vries did not compete again in 2023, but in 2024 he will be racing fully. Things are not going well for Mahindra Racing in Formula E and he is yet to win a point, but De Vries is now succeeding in the WEC.

De Vries wins Imola by 6 hours with Toyota

De Vries won the 6 hours of Imola with Toyota, a race that was scheduled to take place this weekend. In the final lap, the Dutchman had to watch carefully as the number 6 Porsche of Kevin Estre approached and closed in on Kamui Kobayashi, his teammate with Mike Conway of De Vries in the Toyota. However, victory was achieved in the last round by a Japanese – a former F1 driver – as a result of which the team got its first victory of 2024. After Qatar 1812 KM, this was the second race of the season. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled for June 15.
