Lewis Hamilton: This is what awaits him in Ferrari / Formula 1

Next year, Lewis Hamilton will start a new chapter in his GP career and chase points for Ferrari. His predecessor Carlos Sainz reveals what awaits him at the oldest GP racing team in Maranello.

Carlos Sainz gave everything in red for Ferrari for four years and achieved several successes: During this time, the son of the GP legend of the same name won four Grands Prix, took six pole positions and was on the podium 25 times. So it was difficult his saying goodbye to the Scuderia from Maranello after the end of the season had tears in his eyes.

He was already working for his new role model on Tuesday: he completed 146 laps in the Williams and was second fastest at the end of the day behind former team-mate Charles Leclerc, who had many kind words for the Spaniard at his farewell. In the future, the Monegasque will have to prove himself with Lewis Hamilton.

When asked, Sainz himself revealed what awaits his successor at Ferrari. He was delighted: “It’s a fantastic team and a great place to be a Formula 1 driver. I believe he will be treated very well by the Tifosi and also by all the supporters, engineers, mechanics and staff who do their jobs at Ferrari.”

Hamilton should enjoy his moment. “Because there is nothing better than being a Formula 1 driver for Ferrari. I am sure he will have a great time,” explained the 30-year-old player from Madrid, referring to the seven-time world champion, who, according to his statement himself, he does not have to give any advice.

For good reason: «To be honest, I don’t think that the seven-time champion who has changed teams before needs my advice. The only thing I can suggest to him is to enjoy his time,” emphasized the player who placed fifth in the World Cup.
