President Line
Like the top model Lexus RZ 450e, the President Line is more complete. With Ultra Suede upholstery, front and rear seat heating, seat ventilation for the front seats, an electrically adjustable steering column and an energy-efficient radiant heater for the driver and front passenger, comfort is state-of-the-art. the top. That also applies to the sound system, because the President Line RZ 450e comes standard with a 10-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. Audio and cruise control can be set via touch controls on the steering wheel, which can be seen more clearly via the large Head-Up Display. Parking is also easy with Intelligent Park Assist and Park Assist Camera with Panoramic View Monitor. The Lexus RZ 450e Presidential Line can be recognized from the outside by the 20-inch black alloy wheels. The President Line RZ 450 can be ordered from 77,595 euros. Optionally, the version can be ordered with a retractable and unheated panoramic roof. This option costs 2,200 euros.

Safety: Lexus Safety System 3
Every Lexus RZ 450e has a very comprehensive package of active safety systems: Lexus Safety System 3. This package includes Pre-Collision System, Lane Keeping System, Intelligent Speed Assist, Forward Cross Traffic Assist and Road Sign Support. Front and rear parking sensors with brakes for objects, pedestrians and vehicles and a reversing camera also make parking safer and easier.

Safe Departure Assistance
Getting out is also safer for passengers and other road users. Pressing a button is enough to open the door automatically and conveniently, just like the latest Lexus NX. The system is called e-Latch and is integrated with Blind Spot Assist, which ‘sees’ cyclists and other road users approaching from behind. If the occupant uses the e-Latch when, for example, a cyclist approaches, the automatic opening of the door is stopped immediately. At least 95 percent of all accidents caused by opening doors can be prevented by the innovative e-Latch and Safe Exit Assist.

Lexus e-Axle
The RZ 450e uses the Lexus e-Axle, a compact, modular unit mounted between the wheels that integrates the electric motor, transmission and electronic control unit (ECU). RZ 450e has e-Axle for front and rear axles. Both units work closely with DIRECT4 All-Wheel Drive Control. The electric motor on the front axle produces 150 kW and the electric motor on the rear produces 80 kW. Total power thus comes to 230 kW / 313 hp. This makes the car good for acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 160 km / h.

DIRECT4 All Wheel Drive Control
The RZ 450e is the first Lexus to use the new DIRECT4 All Wheel Drive Control. This intelligent system continuously balances traction on all four wheels and distributes drive power automatically and seamlessly. The result is stress-free performance and consistent handling. Due to the integration with e-Axles, the drive power can be distributed completely differently. For example, the RZ 450e can switch from front to rear-wheel drive or vice versa in milliseconds; faster than any other mechanical system. The distribution of driving force is even different for each wheel. The system adjusts the transmission based on, for example, speed, steering angle and G-forces. Because adjustments are made so quickly, care is always fully adapted to the current situation. In this way DIRECT4 contributes to the feeling that the driver and the car are one.

New Year’s Eve
From now on, the pre-sale of the new Lexus RZ 450e begins. The first copies are expected at Dutch Lexus dealers at the end of the first quarter of 2023. As with every Lexus, the RZ 450e has a warranty period of up to 10 years and 200,000 kilometers.
