A Limington man was apprehended on Wednesday evening for allegedly breaking into multiple homes and \’rummaging\’ through bedrooms, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Caleb Wolf, 21, was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief, both of which are Class C felonies.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that Wolf had been accused of entering residences without authorization and unlawfully searching through bedrooms.
An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office began after multiple incidents of burglary were reported in the Limington area over the past few months.
Law enforcement officials conducted an extensive probe, ultimately leading to Wolf’s apprehension.
Wolf was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the York County Jail, where he is currently being held pending a court hearing.
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office noted that Wolf is believed to have committed numerous burglaries and is suspected of rummaging through bedrooms without consent.
The Sheriff’s Office has urged residents to remain vigilant and contact law enforcement if they witness any suspicious activity.
