13.17 The most successful drivers in the Spanish GP are Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton, with 6 wins each. The German did this over the course of a decade (1995, 1996, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004) and has recently been joined by the British. The 38-year-old Englishman instead succeeded in 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

13.14 Barcelona GP is now regular, indeed this weekend the Spanish Grand Prix will be held for the 33rd time in a row at Montmelò, a racetrack built on the outskirts of the Catalan city in the early 90s.

13.08 Several teams bring updates from this race, as with the symmetry of the Montmelò circuit it is possible to understand the beauty of the car, by examining all areas regarding performance: from traction to aerodynamic efficiency.

13.05 Mercedes should also be evaluated, which wisely left the Majesty with the fourth and fifth positions: we will see if the updates will bear fruit.

13.02 And Ferrari? Ferrari must roll up its sleeves. Last weekend almost everything was wrong in terms of strategies and mistakes on the part of the drivers, especially Leclerc in qualifying. A decisive change of direction is required.

12.56 The one who has to redeem himself is Sergio Perez, who with a heavy zero lost contact in the World Cup with Max Verstappen: the Mexican must come back to show.

12.53 It resumes immediately after the Monte Carlo weekend, where Red Bull’s sixth win in six races came, with Max Verstappen winning.

Good morning and welcome LIVE LIVE from the first free practice of the Spanish GP, the seventh round of the 2023 F1 World Championship. On the way to Montmelowe will see a very interesting day 1 as many teams will have new material to test and therefore sessions will also be dedicated to test the stability of the new features.

Ferrari presents itself, in this context, with a completely new face. As the Reds boss declared, Frederic Vasseur, the SF-23 followed a bit of the style of the time, inspired by Red Bull. In Maranello they changed the car and loose bowels, the hot air vents, the bottom and the front wing have also been redone, in the hope of making the red one less difficult to put on, to provide the ability that can only be seen in qualifying even in the race. The rear suspension, however, is not new.

It is hoped that these new updates will bear fruit, above all to better understand the performance of tires in the race, in the work problem of damage. It is true that the reference also in the Catalan circuit will be the aforementioned Red Bull, which will not stop and wait for others to prepare, intending to make this Spanish weekend its own.
