Live from the Brussels Motor Show 2023

Until recently, Polestar was a banned brand in France, the fault of the legal action of Citroën, which got its mark similar to the famous chevrons of the French manufacturer. But now that the case has been settled between the two manufacturers, Polestar will finally be able to invest in the French market.

Well, not immediately: Volvo’s sports and electric division still has to prepare its strategy here and the Polestars should not arrive in France before the end of 2023 or the beginning of next year.

One thing is certain: the Polestar range has something interesting. Since 2020, the brand has been sold in certain markets sedan 2a family car with a length of 4.60 meters cut to compete with the Tesla Model 3, with a capacity of 408 horsepower and a range that can exceed 500 km depending on the version.

Polestar’s stand at the Brussels Motor Show 2023 mainly includes 3, this new popular electric SUV with a slim design. A cousin of the Volvo EX90 and taking its technical features, it shows a much smaller style than the last one with a sporty profile extended over 4.9 meters in length. It could be popular in the luxury electric SUV segment and Polestar is planning many more additions to the range, to create a list of 5 or 6 models by the end of the decade.

Brussels Motor Show celebrates 100 years with a bang

The Paris, Geneva and Frankfurt fairs were for decades the most important fairs in Europe, if not the world.

Frankfurt was replaced by Munich, Geneva and Doha, now only the Paris World Cup remains among these organizers, the last edition of which in 2022 was difficult.

And the previous “small” exhibition of Brussels can do well to offer an ambitious 2023 edition: more than 50 brands are represented and important new products are revealed there. Carradisiac lets you discover this promising Brussels scene from the inside.
