After a two-year absence, the Montreal Auto Show is back in action at the Palais des Congrès. Although many builders avoided the event, the attractions remain many. Among these, note the presence of part of the collection of businessman Luc Poirier.

Five unique Ferraris

The main part of Luc Poirier’s collection is undoubtedly a combination of five supercars from Ferrari.

“In its history, Ferrari has produced five supercars starting with the 288 GTO in 1984. It continued with F40 that I used to post when I was young. For people of my generation, it’s the ultimate sports car. A few years later came the F50. […] followed by Ferrari Enzo and LaFerrari », says a collector based on Montreal’s South Shore.

During the interview, Mr. Poirier explains the car selection process. “Me, I had a list of about thirty cars with the Auto Show organization that he preferred.”

However, he says he regrets not being able to bring opposition from his collection, including a Ferrari Dino that has been under restoration for two years.

Interesting equipment

As you may have guessed, transporting multiple high-value vehicles is a major logistical challenge.

“There was no carrier that had enough insurance to transport my cars. So seven of them were transported one by one by my crew using trucks and trailers to transport the very low cars,” explains Luc Poirier.
