Lucid Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID) – which sets a new standard for electric luxury vehicles and winner of the 2023 World Luxury Car Award – today announced the retail prices of its Lucid Air Pure (AWD) and Air Touring all-wheel drive vehicles in the country The Netherlands. The prices are respectively €115,000 and €134,000 (incl. VAT).
With the first Lucid Air Dream Edition and Grand Touring cars hitting the roads of Germany and the Netherlands, Lucid is announcing pricing and delivery plans for the Lucid Air Pure AWD and Lucid Air Touring, the next two models in the Lucid Air lineup. Both models come with a small and light battery of 18 modules and 92kWh, giving an estimated WLTP range of more than 7251 km. The rear cars also have 8 centimeters of extra legroom due to the lower floor. Those extra centimeters make the seating position more comfortable – especially on long trips. Both models have a charging capacity of up to 250 kW and are available with the optional Lucid Dream Drive Pro Advanced Driver Assistance system.
In addition, the American manufacturer confirms that the Lucid Air offers a design option in Europe with a darker one called the ‘Cipher Look’.
Lucid Fresh Air: Elemental Air
The Air Pure is the base model of the Air, with the same unique design and many key features of the Air range but at a more affordable price. It will be powered by twin engines and all-wheel drive (AWD) producing 480 horsepower. The Lucid Air Pure AWD starts at €115,000 (incl. VAT) and deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Following the Air Pure AWD comes a single-engine, rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant that will be introduced sometime in 2024. Delivery plans and pricing for the Air Pure RWD will be announced later this year.
Lucid Air Pure is built with Lucid’s ‘Long Range Battery Pack’ – Lucid’s lightest battery, with 18 modules compared to the 22 modules of the Extended Range Pack. With this, Lucid takes its Space Concept to a new level in terms of efficiency and engineering. Thanks to a lightweight battery pack with fewer modules, the Air Pure is more efficient on the road, with an estimated WLTP range of 7251 km for the all-wheel drive version, while also offering more space and comfort in the rear seats. So, even with a more compactly designed battery pack and exceptional rear seat comfort, the Air Pure lineup still starts higher than most other luxury EVs.
The Air Pure is the first Air model with an all-metal roof. It is all-aluminum, which reduces weight and lowers the car’s center of gravity, giving the Air Pure a unique personality. An excellent addition to the Glass Umbrella, which we know from other Lucid Air ranges.
Air Pure also introduces a new color variant to the Lucid family, called Fathom Blue. This color, inspired by the Pacific Ocean, is multidimensional. A light, cool shade that seems to change throughout the day. The depth and sophistication of the Fathom Blue color complements the long horizontal lines and curved shapes of the Air Pure’s exterior, making it stand out even more.
Lucid’s critical eye for detail and craftsmanship can be seen in the Air Pure’s interior, where every stitch, color and material has been carefully considered. The interior features a Mojave PurLuxe variant, a unique combination of soft and durable leather and a unique and high-quality ‘Dune’ fabric. Dune is inspired by mid-century modern furniture and is made from 100 percent recycled textiles. All in all, these materials give Air Pure its own, warm and timeless design.
Lucid Air Touring: The Quintessential Air
The Lucid Air Touring offers an incredible combination of power, versatility and interior space. At the heart of the Lucid Air family, it offers more choice and flexibility – allowing customers to create an offering that meets their needs. Lucid Air Touring starts at
€134,000 (incl. VAT) and deliveries are expected to start in the third quarter of 2023.
The Lucid Air Touring four-wheel drive train produces 620 horsepower and can accelerate the car from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Built with Lucid’s 18-module Long Range Battery Pack, the Lucid Air Touring offers an estimated range of 7251 km with excellent efficiency and even rear seat leg and leg room, thanks to the short dimensions of the Long Range Battery Pack Long. .
The interior of the Lucid Air Touring is more luxurious due to refined materials and craftsmanship. The seats are upholstered in nappa leather from carbon fiber supplier Lucid, with recycled cloth and refined stitching. Where possible, Lucid uses sustainable materials and uses production methods to further reduce the vehicles’ impact on the environment. Sustainably sourced, the wood accents feature clear finishes and minimal veneers to allow passengers to feel the real wood grain – another detail inspired by mid-century furniture.
The Air Touring is available with an aluminum roof as standard or with the optional Glass Umbrella. This fully glazed roof gives a more spacious and welcoming feeling.
The Power of the Dark Side
The new ‘Stealth Appearance’ exterior theme is available as an Air Touring and Air Touring option. Customers can add ‘Secret Look’ to Air models with a metal roof via the ‘Lucid Configurator’ for €2,034 or €4,067 for models with a glass roof. Prices and details of ‘Secret View’ are subject to change.
The ‘Cover Look’ redefines the look of Lucid Air. The new interior theme has up to 35 customizable exterior elements. Many items that normally have a ‘Platinum Look’ get a dark sheen with the ‘Subdued Look’. This is reminiscent of the black polishing technique used in the fine watch and jewelry industry. The most striking change is the dark cornice around the glass roof. The rest of the Stealth components add gloss and satin black accents that give the car a more menacing and sporty look, including the lower body parts and surrounds for the Micro Array lights and one-piece lighting unit.
Finally, the ‘Secret Look’ also includes unique wheel designs and finishes for each wheel size (wheel size availability depends on the Air model):
-
20-inch Aero Lite Stealth wheels, with satin black wheel inserts
-
21-inch Aero Sport Stealth wheels, with satin black wheel inserts (€2,000 extra)
The new exterior theme can be combined with Lucid Air exterior colors of Stellar White, Infinite Black, Cosmos Silver, Quantum Gray and Zenith Red.
