A Maine woman has been apprehended after allegedly making false threats at a Walmart in New Hampshire.
The New Hampshire State Police reported that on Friday a 25-year-old woman from Old Town, Maine, was apprehended after allegedly making false threats at the Walmart in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
According to the State Police, the woman, who was not identified, had entered the Walmart and made false threats of a shooting and a bomb threat. The police were notified and subsequently apprehended the woman without any incident.
The State Police also declared that the woman was in possession of a “fake device” which was believed to be a hoax device. The device was confiscated by the State Police.
The woman was taken into custody and has been charged with criminal threatening and possession of a hoax device. She is being held at the Rockingham County Jail awaiting arraignment.
The New Hampshire State Police have warned the public that making false threats is a serious crime and will not be tolerated.
