Man, 80, dead after Burgess Hill crash that saw Fiat 500 collide with fence – Sussex Live

An 80-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after a motorized accident in Burgess Hill, Sussex, which involved a Fiat 500 impacting a fence.

The collision occurred on Saturday and the man, who has yet to be identified, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the man passed away on Monday.

Sussex Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident and have asked that any witnesses come forward and contact them with information. A spokesperson for the force released a statement, saying: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Burgess Hill on Saturday. A Fiat 500 collided with a fence in the early afternoon, and the driver, an 80-year-old man, sadly died in hospital on Monday.”

The spokesperson added: “Anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact us online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Severn.”
