Burghausen – Several shots were fired in Burghausen (Altötting District) near the Austrian border on Thursday evening around 8.30 pm

According to BILD news, a man (32) was shot in front of the theater in the “Lindach” industrial park. Passers-by ran to safety and informed the police. Despite emergency medical care, the 32-year-old died on the spot.

SEK from Munich has been alerted to the crime scene because the killer is still on the run. According to witnesses, he fled in a BMW.

Police cordoned off the crime scene, officers are conducting vehicle inspections. The helicopter “Edelweiß” supports the search with a thermal imaging camera and a night vision device from the air.

BILD learned: Because of the proximity to Austria, the police in Upper Austria are also looking for the culprit. The investigators are warning the public not to take horseback rides.

Kripo Mühldorf am Inn has started an investigation under the direction of the public prosecutor’s office in Traunstein. The police are not currently releasing any information about motives and other origins “due to investigative techniques”.
