Milan Design Week: Kia talks about rivals United


The Korean House has established “Intersections Beyond Boundaries”, an exhibition without cars and characterized by a continuous dialogue between installations, exhibitions and talk shows.

For the second year in a row rivals United is the protagonist of the Milan Design Week: philosophy Come on enlivens the show Exhibition of Union Art Work in the Museo della Permanente in Milan, Via Turati 34. Five large installations that aim to enclose and express the vision of the Korean company, following the five pillars by which Kia’s vision is recognized: Courage by Nature, Happiness by Reason, Tension of Calm, Technology of Life and Power to Continue. Each of these areas has scope that aims to rethink the relationship between technology and humanity in terms of wonder and humanity. It is not for nothing that no car will be found in the exhibition, confirming that what we want to say is not about the product itself, but about the ideas and suggestions that drive the fundamental reasons for the design.

In fact, there are visual and audio installations, in spaces designed to provide experiences through video and audio environments and digital sculptures. A series of interesting images that seek to emphasize the urgency of stopping and rethinking the types of development that fuel mobility and its different uses. For this zero, on the occasion of Exhibition of Union Art Workorganizes in collaboration with Kia until the 21st of April 2024 an exhibition of talks and concerts that bring together famous people on the Italian and international scene of various disciplines, including Emanuele Coccia (philosopher), Alice Rawsthorne (design theorist and journalist of the New York Times), Andrea Lissoni (curator of Haus der Kunst in Munich), Marco Sammicheli (curator of design and fashion at the Triennale di Milano), Bethan Laura Wood (designer) and Femi Adeyemi (director of NTSradio), as well as artists of high caliber with Hudson Mohawke, Afrodeutsche, Talpah and Alewy.
