BUGATTI RIMAC OPENS NEW R&D AND INNOVATION CENTER IN ITALY – Rimac Newsroom


As well as placing Bugatti Rimac close to valuable partners and suppliers, and enabling it to provide fast and responsive support when needed, the new facility will act as a satellite to the company’s headquarters in Zagreb, with a future capacity of up to 50 employees working in tandem and the team in Croatia.

Since its inception in 2021, Bugatti Rimac has made clear its intention to bring to market pioneering solutions that take automotive performance and innovation to new levels, and the Italian satellite team will be tasked with developing new technologies and advanced engineering that will deliver the best results. this promise.

The team will work on future luxury cars from the Bugatti and Rimac brands, as well as flagship products, and individual units focused on specific regions. These will include electric, hybrid and alternative fuel trains; advanced manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing and improved use of composites; integrated car controls with digital twin; and chassis engineering.

Traditional areas of car development, such as aerodynamics and NVH, will also be covered, as well as ongoing research into new energy, concepts and architecture.

As well as helping to shape the company’s future, there will also be a focus on Bugatti’s legendary past, with the new facility set to include a Heritage Center showcasing some of the brand’s most revered examples from years past. The replacement engineering part of Bugatti’s ‘La Maison Pur Sang’ program – which offers restoration and reconfiguration services for historic Bugatti models at the Atelier in Molsheim – will take place in the new facility, too.

The Bugatti Rimac Italia office opened its doors this October at Via Del Monte 1, Bologna, with Filippo D’Adamo and Roberto Rotundo in charge of operations as managing directors. Details about the recruitment will be revealed in due course.
