Electricity Alfa Romeo Milano was arrested: here is the savior of the brand

The Alfa Romeo Milano will finally be unveiled on April 10. Before that, final tests will take place at Fiat and Alfa Romeo’s home circuit in Balocco, Italy. We were there too and we brought our camera. What stands out: Milano is compact (4.1 meters) and has a voluptuous rear. Since the Alfa Romeo 156, it has been a common practice that the rear door handles are inserted into the window pillar.

The new Milano is the belated successor to the MiTo. That stood for MilanoTorino, so the name is still the same. Anyone who follows car news closely will not be surprised by the technical data.

Alfa Romeo Milano shares its platform with Jeep AvengerOpel Mokka, DS 3, Peugeot 208 and 2008. This means that we can easily cancel the list of specifications: the electric motor gives 156 hp and is connected to a 54 kWh battery, which provides a range of almost 400 km. Milano runs from 0 to 100 km / h in 9 seconds, and a top speed of about 150 km / h.

However, a version with a petrol engine is also coming to the market. That will probably be a mild hybrid (1.2 liter engine, 100 hp). Initially, the Alfa Romeo Milano Hybrid is intended for countries with little interest in electric cars, but it will probably also come to the Netherlands. Jeep also used this trick with the electric Avenger, which was soon joined by a hybrid version. Alfa Imperato boss further hints at Milano with all-wheel drive Q4.

Alfa Romeo Milano will go on sale in September 2024. The price is expected to be around 40,000 euros.
