Marcel Brenner (26) is also prepared for the World Snow Championship / Supersport

After two meetings of the 2024 Supersport World Championship, Marcel Brenner has only three points. During the preliminary test in Assen, the Kawasaki rider prepared for all possible conditions.

Marcel Brenner’s return to the World Supersport Championship has not yet gone according to plan. Although the Swiss was aiming for a top 10 for Barcelona, 13th place in the first race at Phillip Island was his only place in the points this year.

To prepare for Assen, the 26-year-old and his Belgian Kawasaki team analyzed all the data and prepared a modified configuration of the ZX-6R as part of the test.

“Two weeks ago we did a test in Assen which went very well. After gaining knowledge in Barcelona about how not to do it, we changed a few things again,” reported Brenner. “I think we are now on the right track and we will use this weekend again to improve cooperation and understanding of the team. It’s time to get back to the points and if things go well I will be very happy to see myself in the top 10. But let’s wait and see how it will develop.”

The weekend in the Netherlands promises to be cold; There is a risk of rain on Friday and Saturday.

“We hope there won’t be any worse surprises in the morning if it suddenly snows outside, because according to the forecast the temperature will drop to zero degrees at night,” added the Kawasaki rider. “But yes, we have to deal with that and I’m confident the weekend will be good. It’s supposed to rain on Friday, but I’m ready for all scenarios.”
