Fatal accident in Garbsen in Lower Saxony!

Two young children are in danger of dying after the accident on Tuesday evening (April 16). The police have serious suspicions.

According to preliminary police findings, the accident occurred in the Schloß-Ricklingen district of Garbsen. The 39-year-old driver was driving in Burgstrasse at 7:25 p.m. when, for reasons that are still unclear, he veered left onto the long right-hand lane.

As a result, the luxury car was thrown to the right, hit two trees and then was thrown back about 90 meters, police report. The Lamborghini ended up lying on its side.

Police say the five-year-old boy was thrown from the back seat of the car onto a grass verge as a result of the impact. The child suffered life-threatening injuries. A rescue helicopter took the boy to the hospital.

The fire department was also able to free the 39-year-old man and his ten-year-old daughter from the car. Rescue workers took a man with serious injuries and a girl with serious injuries to the hospital.

The police have serious suspicions

At the scene of the accident, the police suspected that the driver might have been drinking alcohol. A blood sample was taken from him – but the results are not yet available. The officers also confiscated the man’s driver’s license. The public prosecutor’s office has also ordered that the accident data log be read and an accident report be written. The officers are investigating the driver for recklessly causing bodily harm due to an accident and endangering traffic on the road.
