Prima Pramac Racing launched the promotion of Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco’s Ducati GP23 for the 2023 MotoGP season in Italy on Wednesday night.
Ducati launched the GP23 of the factory team on Monday in Madonna di Campiglio, and on Wednesday evening Prima Pramac Racing followed suit with Jorge Martin (24) and Johann Zarco (32) in the Sky Sport TV studio in Milan.
Pramac is the only Ducati customer team to receive current machines from Borgo Panigale. “It’s like a marriage,” is how team owner Paolo Campinoti described the partnership with the Italian manufacturer.
Pramac only changed last season’s livery at the Mugello GP in May because a new title sponsor had been secured for three years by insurance company Prima. Since then, purple has dominated the design, and will remain so in 2023.
The refreshed fabric, which Martin and Zarco unveiled on Wednesday, combines the main sponsor’s colors with plenty of classic white and red accents.
The team presentation was also the first official appearance of Gino Borsoi as Pramac’s new team manager. “The goal of these two drivers is clear – at least to continue with the best customer teams and, if possible, to finish ahead of the others,” he explained.
