Our purchase has several option packages that add welcome features. The Advanced Safety Package adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Convenience Package 1 is very attractive here in New England with remote start, heated steering wheel and front seats, and keyless entry is perfect for our cold winters. One extra we could live without is the Frost White color. At $1,095, it seems like a lot for a value-conscious model, but because we buy models as soon as they hit the market for testing, we often have to make those compromises. Then again, only the Summit White color variant is included in the MSRP, with all other color options costing at least $495.
The Envista is built in South Korea, and is the mechanical sibling of the Chevrolet Trax. The Envista is 4 inches longer than the Trax, but most other dimensions, from width to wheelbase, are the same. We’ve finished testing the redesigned Trax, and now we can share our first impressions of the Envista.
