Last year, Max Verstappen had to overcome several obstacles and go through difficult phases before he could celebrate his fourth consecutive world title victory. The Red Bull Racing driver remained calm and undaunted by the fight on the track or what was happening beside him.
This is in no small part because he follows a simple strategy when it comes to dealing with problems. The Dutchman revealed to “Formula1.com” how he overcomes difficulties in general. He explained: “I don’t talk about it, I prefer to solve problems with my head.”
“It can be positive or negative, it depends on which angle you look at it from. But for me this works well. During a year there are certain things that go through your mind, but I can deal with them and I’m proud of that,” added the one-time GP winner. 63.
Verstappen said he doesn’t think about Formula 1 every day. “When I go home, I don’t think about Formula 1 unless I go to the factory. Of course it’s somewhere in the back of your mind, but it’s very important that you can switch off. If I thought about Formula 1 every day, I’d get tired. That’s impossible, for me it’s impossible.”
