Expansion
From June this year, a brand new electric vehicle will be in Maxus showrooms: the eDeliver 9. The eDeliver 9 has a payload of up to 1,350 kg and is available in a variety of variants.
Maxus, a brand of the Chinese manufacturer SAIC, is doing quite well in the Netherlands. In February, with the EV80, it became the best-selling electric commercial vehicle in the Netherlands as well. The smaller eDeliver 3 managed to find a place in the top 10 of the most electric cars sold that month. Maxus is expanding its Dutch delivery lineup in June with the eDeliver 9, another electric delivery truck!
Although the eDeliver 9 is very similar to the Ford Transit, it is not related to it. The electric EDeliver 9 will be available in two lengths and heights. Depending on the variant chosen, the loading space is at least 9.7 cubic meters and at least 12.95 cubic meters. The closed order version will be the first to come to our country, followed after the summer season by, among other things, the Chassis Cab, Double Cab and variants intended for passenger transport.
Maxus will soon offer you the eDeliver 9 with no less than four different battery packs. Larger batteries of 52 kWh, 65 kWh and 72 kWh and 89 kWh will be available. With the largest package, the eDeliver 9 has a range of 296 kilometers determined according to the WLTP method. With a 72 kWh pack, the commercial electric vehicle can travel 236 km, while the smaller pack has a range of 186 km. The eDeliver 9 has a 3-phase on-board charger (11 kW) as standard. Fast charging is possible with a larger battery pack with a charging capacity of 80 kW. Although Maxus doesn’t show much of an electric powertrain, it is known that the eDeliver 9 has a maximum towing weight of up to 1,500 kg behind its name.
Details and details on offers and pricing will follow later this month. AutoWeek’s investigation into Maxus indicates that the eDeliver 9 will eventually replace the EV80, which still shares its underpinnings with the LDV Maxus introduced in 2004. This year, however, the EV80 and eDeliver 9 will still be presented side by side.
