Mazda CX-60: New police cars in Saxony-Anhalt

Not always Audi, BMW, Ford or VW as police cars: As Mazda announced at the end of January 2024, the Japanese car manufacturer provided the police of the state of Saxony-Anhalt with five Mazda CX-60. Three of the medium-range SUVs are used in the district of Dessau-Roßlau, two more in “main services” such as the water police. According to Mazda, further deliveries are planned for the spring of 2024.

The fifth base Mazda CX-60 is an e-Skyactiv D 254 variant with a 3.3 l diesel engine. With 254 hp (187 kW), the six-cylinder smooth-mixed in-line is the most powerful of the two available combustion engines. The SUV transmits 550 Nm to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. With a base price of 54,550 euros (according to the Mazda developer, as of February 2024), the variant is the most expensive car in Mazda’s German portfolio. There are also other features that are mandatory for police cars, such as foiling, lighting and organization system and pull-out boxes in the trunk. Also interesting: Tips for our products on Amazon
