Chevrolet Blazer EV 2024: sales recovery | Car news

• Chevrolet announces the resumption of sales of its 2024 Blazer EV, along with an impressive price cut.

The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV was launched in late 2023, but its first market didn’t go as planned, as software issues forced the company to halt sales indefinitely.

Problems with the multimedia system and the functions it includes, including car charging, have been reported by early adopters in particular.

Today, Chevrolet announced that the model is now certified for sale, while significant updates have been made to address issues that had surfaced.

Chevrolet says it’s confident the improvements will “address concerns expressed by some previous owners.” » The company also promises to learn from all this and translate “the lessons learned to other products in the GM range. »

Some of the improvements include customizable multi-color lighting, new graphics in the driver information screen, with a battery percentage display.

Fall in price
The company has also revised its model price range, especially for the LT and RS versions. These models were already eligible for a federal rebate through the iZEV program ($5,000), with rebates offered in British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories. But for Quebec residents, in particular, the RS variant now qualifies for a $7,000 provincial rebate.

Here are the newly announced prices for the model:

  • – Blazer EV 2LT AWD $60,370 (was $63,370)
  • – Blazer EV RS AWD $67,370 (was $73,370)
  • – RWD Blazer EV RS $67,370 (was $73,370)

Note that the price includes freight and PDI, a $100 weather charge, and a dealer fee of up to $699. This is why the RS model is eligible for Quebec, despite the fact that the price shown here is more than $65,000, the limit currently set by the government program. MSRP is less than $65,000.
