Lando Norris (3rd): What he believes McLaren can do at the Japanese GP / Formula 1

McLaren driver Lando Norris is third fastest in qualifying for the Japanese traditional doctor. The 24-year-old Englishman is inspired and said what he wants to achieve in the race.

Lando Norris will face the Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka Circuit from the second row of the grid, the McLaren driver achieved the best third time in the last training session.

The Brit is clearly pleased with that and says: “You don’t often get the chance to be at the front on this beautiful track. I was really pleased with the balance of the car in the third qualifying session and I was able to put in some really good laps.”

“I’m very happy with how things went today. We showed good speed here last autumn, and we were able to prove it today. We drove a good race in Australia, the car is fast here as well, so I think we will be able to finish on the podium in the race.”

“We were able to improve the car step by step in training, and third place in qualifying is the logical result of that. We are racing Red Bull. It was not enough yet, but we are on the right track.”
