From April 1, 2024, Ignasi Prietowho currently holds the position of global marketing director at Seat, will take over the role of the Cupra brand. In his new role, he will oversee brand growth, lead Cupra’s global marketing and product strategy, as well as network development, as well as Cupra City Garages. In addition, he will be responsible for Cupra Racing’s strategy.

His journey

Ignasi Prieto has two decades of experience in marketing and advertising within the automotive industry. He joined 2015 position as the global head of advertising. Two years later, he was appointed global head of brand content, sponsorship and social media for Seat. In January 2020, he was promoted to global marketing manager for Cupra, then in October 2021, he took over as head of global marketing for the two Spanish brands.

Before joining the Seat group, Ignasi Prieto worked for more than 8 years in Nissan where he held various positions in advertising, business strategy and customer experience. He has also worked as an account executive at communications and advertising agencies such as McCann Erickson, Delvico Bates and TBWA.
