the first news about the future electric SUV

In September 2022, Jeep launched its ambitious electrification program, with a new range of electric vehicles showcased by a range of concept cars. Among them, the Avenger, already on the market and voted European Car of the Year 2023, but also the Wagoneer S. This SUV with the most interesting design will be officially presented soon, and sold from the fall of 2024 in the United States. Other markets including Europe will follow a little later.

Jeep is announcing the upcoming launch of its classic Wagoneer S with a teaser posted on its social media. We see the highlighted grille of seven bars of the SUV, very close to the concept car of 2022. Above the grille is formed by a narrow strip of light that connects very thin lights. This front end is similar to Ssangyong Torres, whose brand is now called KG Mobility. The rest are hiding in the shadows, but they should also be close to the model presented in 2022: water lines, LED strip at the back, large wheels fitted with “square” wheel arches, pull handles or even the famous rear spoiler.

The first all-electric Jeep

Offered exclusively on electric (it will also be the first Jeep to offer only electric, as the Avenger still has a petrol engine), the Wagoneer S will have 600 hp. This power should be obtained from two engines, Jeep also notes that the model will have 4x wheel drive that provides cross-country ability like other Jeeps. The brand notes that the electric SUV will reach 100 kilometers per hour in around 3.6 seconds. The rest of the technical sheet is still unknown, and so we will have to wait until the official presentation to know more about Jeep’s claims in terms of autonomy or price.
