Volvo Trucks Italia presents the new Aero range at the Transpotec press Italpress


ROME (ITALPRESS) – The new Aero model will be the protagonist of Transpotec Logitec, an event organized by Fiera Milano dedicated to the world of transport and logistics. From 8 to 11 May, in booth 18P Stand K14-M19, Volvo Trucks Italia presents the new Aero range, the most efficient ever, continuing its sustainable journey aimed at ending CO2 emissions by 2050. At the stand it will be possible to see up . debut the new Volvo FH Aero diesel tractor powered by biofuels such as HVO, 500 HP with I-Save, the most efficient engine ever, ideal for reducing fuel consumption in the long-term driving range while maintaining excellent driving ability. The stand will also host the new FH Aero Electric tractor with a GCM (gross combined weight) of 44 tonnes, 490 kW (666 HP) of power and a range of up to 350 km, suitable for urban transport. In the same position there will also be the Ultrafast range from Plenitude, a company controlled by Eni, with a power of 300 kW. The program is part of the projects intended by the partnership signed between the Volvo Group and Eni for the use of renewable energy carriers aimed at promoting the energy transition process and the decarbonisation of its activities.
Thanks to advanced aviation techniques and new technologies, such as the new Camera Tracking System, FH Aero can reduce energy consumption and emissions by up to 5%. The new range is available in four versions: diesel/biofuel, gas, the award-winning electric version and the FH16 780, the most powerful in its category. “The new Volvo FH Aero is our best truck ever, as we continue to reduce CO2 emissions from our product range,” says Giovanni Dattoli, CEO of Volvo Trucks Italy. “This vehicle represents the best of Volvo: it’s safe, has an attractive design, high quality for demanding long-distance tasks and is designed to meet the needs of our customers.” The new Aero models will be gradually launched on the market during 2024-2025. Sales are already open, and the first deliveries are expected in June 2024.
